OUTLINE

Experience the thrill of running a fair with our hands-on, interactive experience! Children take control as they build, paint, create, help, move, and cook to prepare for an exciting afternoon.

The day begins with a carnival-themed morning session, where children and educators work together to create thrilling carnival games and set up colourful stands. After lunch, the real fun begins as families join in for the actual carnival festivities!

Get ready for a day filled with creativity, teamwork, and joy as we bring the magic of fairs and carnivals to life!

REQUIREMENTS

  • This incursion requires a larger space such as an oval or bitumen.

  • This incursion requires you to be able to be flexible with your vacation care routine as it is one of the larger incursion activities. For example, afternoon tea will be a part of the activity.

RESOURCES

  • Tenggrenplay will provide you with the majority of material and resources needed for the incursion.

  • Additional features such as a jumping castle, snow cone machine etc. can be arranged by Tenggrenplay an extra cost

BENEFITS AND OUTCOMES
This is a community-based incursion, aiming to include families and stakeholder in line with QA6.

It is also an opportunity for children to have ownership of the days outcome. Instead of merey attending a carnival, they get to be part of setting up och running it.

THE SWEDISH WAY

Every year Swedish OSHC services celebrate the national “OSHC day”, “Fritidshemmets dag” in a HUGE fashion. Carnivals, themes, jumping castles, balloons, and community spirit. The whole school is invited along with staff and families.
